LEAP are working to help New Zealanders save water and energy in their homes.

LEAP has systems that use renewable energy to heat water which will net your customers substantial savings over a period of time. With the help of ENERGYWISE there are various grants available to customers who install a solar water heating system into their home (conditions apply).

LEAP offers:

• SOLARGENIUS - LEAP’s evacuated tube solar system uses the energy from the sun to heat water. Both systems can be installed into new houses or retrofitted.

These systems qualify for a $500 or $1000 ENERGYWISE grant (depending on unit chosen) – which adds up to an important saving if you want to install a new water heating system but are not sure if you can afford it.

Having a LEAP hot water system will not only heat water in a more efficient way, it will also reduce the amount of water used in a household. A LEAP system can save homeowners between 50-65% of their water heating costs – and therefore pay back their investment within a few years.

The Energywise pilot scheme will gather information about these choices of efficient water heating for consumers. The scheme will test to see how they perform and the energy savings possible in New Zealand conditions.
